Miller Homes announce new chief operating officer

Miller Homes has announced that they have promoted Stewart Lynes to the newly created role of chief operating officer with immediate effect.

Reporting to ceo Chris Endsor, Lynes will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s agreed strategy, including land acquisitions and housebuilding operations.

Lynes joined Miller in 2008 as its commercial director, being promoted to operations director three years later. He became md for Scotland in 2013, taking on the north England division in addition in 2018.

Lynes has amassed 18 years’ experience in the housebuilding sector, previously working for several large housebuilders. He has specialist expertise in surveying, land buying and sales, and is a member of the Homes for Scotland board.

Chris Endsor said: “Stewart has an excellent track record for Miller Homes both in Scotland and the North and we are delighted to appoint him to the new position of chief operating officer.

Miller Homes has delivered a sustained period of strong financial performance matched by excellent customer service. Our enlarged executive leadership team is well positioned to build on this and deliver our strategic target of building 4,000 homes by 2021.”

Stewart Lynes added: “Miller Homes continues to go from strength to strength and I am very pleased to be playing a greater role in this going forward, ensuring operational excellence across the group. I am looking forward to working closely with the rest of the leadership team in this new capacity as we enter the next stage of Miller’s exciting journey.”
