Hosted by Paul Shamplina, Founder of Landlord Action and Hamilton Fraser Brand Ambassador, together with Mike Morgan, HF Assist Project Consultant, the webinar will provide pragmatic ways to help letting agents through this unprecedented time.

Guidance will include:

How to carry out the move-in and move-out process
How to help landlords whose tenants have stopped paying rent
How to continue to fulfil your legal requirements, such as gas safety checks and EPC assessments
How to access the Government help available for business
HF Assist was launched in February to provide letting agents with a helpline and advice service to support day to day lettings matters. Call handlers have both legal and lettings experience, enabling them to also provide advice on landlord and tenant law, business contracts, HR and employment law.

Mike Morgan, comments: “We launched HF Assist, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, after survey results found letting agents would welcome a single ‘go to’ advice line. Lettings is a fast-moving industry with many moving parts and sometimes agents want to be able to just pick up the phone and check they’re compliant. Since lockdown was enforced, letting agents have had to very quickly adapt their processes and learn what the changes mean for their business and their clients.”

Paul adds: “We’re hosting this free webinar to answer some of the most common questions being asked by letting agents during lockdown. We aim to help them find practical ways to assist their clients and support their business, whilst adhering to government guidance.”

Lettings agents are being asked to sign up in advance to the HF Assist webinar. They will then be able to submit their questions in advance. Any questions not addressed in the webinar will be answered via email by one of the team after the online event.
