A new tool from Barratt Homes reveals every street in the UK which contains your name, along with the price you’d pay to live there.
The most valuable names in the UK
Barratt Homes drilled down into the data to find the names with the highest and lowest street value. It turns out, ‘Alec’ is the most valuable name with an average street value of almost £6m. If your name is Alisha, you can pick up a property on your street for an average of £35,000.
Jenna is the second most expensive name, with houses costing an average of £2.9m, followed by Kathryn (£1.96m), Guy (£1.8m) and Roger (£1.5m).
Completing the top five cheapest name streets are Rosie (£40,000), Eloise (£55,000), Millie (£61,850), and Carole (£64,000).
The most popular royal names
Thanks to her reign during the industrial revolution, Queen Victoria inspired the most street names overall, totalling 1,685. Albert (704) and George (1,156) are also popular, whilst younger Royals such as Harry and Kate are nowhere to be seen.
The most popular TV street names
The data also shows how many fictional TV streets existed across England and Wales. Coronation Street comes out top with 50 streets, whilst Elm Street hopefully isn’t as scary as there’s 41 of them.
You’ll also find one Ramsay Street in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, with an average property value of £78,000. We can’t promise you great neighbours though!
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, there are three Privet Drives, too. The cheapest street to buy is in Selby, North Yorkshire, where the average house sells for £257,000. The most expensive is in Watford, for a staggering £620,000 on average.
