The Expo is being hosted by the East Midlands Property Owners (EMPO) a professional not-for-profit landlords association (www.empo.co.uk). It will include 80 exhibitors, a ‘live’ property auction from Graham Penny Auctions, guest speakers from the property world and a packed seminar programme covering everything from ‘how to raise finance in the current climate’ to ‘how to avoid bad tenants’.

The event provides an opportunity for both potential and existing landlords to get advice on all aspects of private renting; including how to effectively manage their properties and most importantly, how to get up to speed on the very latest legislation. EMPO’S Expo last year attracted over 800 visitors with expectations to achieve even more in 2014, with major name sponsors including: Graham Penny Auctions, Barclays, Sterling Capital Reserve, Franklands Insurance and Auction Finance.

Giles Inman, spokesperson, EMPO, comments: “The private rental sector is the fastest growing area of the market currently, with demand for rent having doubled in the last decade. As a consequence regulation has altered rapidly too causing much confusion.

So our overall aim is to help property investors secure the very best advice and money saving services in this ever changing market. This means ultimately that tenants will benefit from decent and safe homes too.”

Graham Penny Auctions (www.grahampenny.com) will also be offering free valuations and is currently inviting entries for its auction at the Expo.

The Expo will also be hosting a Champagne lunch with guest speaker local property TV presenter, Shaun Esden, 12.30pm-2.00pm in partnership with local property networking group, Propertyface2face providing a great opportunity for investors, landlords and property professionals to meet at the event.

The lunch will be helping to raise money for local charity, The Lewis Mighty fund that helps families with children who have cancer at Nottingham University Hospitals (www.lewismightyfund.org.uk).
