Lettings technology platform Goodlord has announced a new partnership with insurance managing general agent Elevate Speciality, a technology-enabled speciality underwriting and claims platform. The two companies are launching a Landlord & Rent Guarantee Insurance product, alongside a wider suite of protection products to support landlords, letting agents and tenants.

The flagship Landlord & Rent Guarantee Insurance offering has been designed to suit the requirements of the Renters' Rights Act and embeds directly into the Goodlord platform. It supports longer tenancies and changing possession rules, and offers landlords protection against rental income loss and legal expenses.

The partnership is also launching a broader suite of tools to support private rented sector stakeholders. These include Goodlord Rent & Bills, an income protection product designed to help tenants cover rent and essential bills if they are unable to work. Research from Aviva found that over two-thirds of people would struggle financially if they were unable to work because of ill-health.

The launch comes as the rental market adjusts to recent rental reforms, which place new demands on traditional insurance products. Goodlord and Elevate designed the new suite with Consumer Duty and the Renters' Rights Act at its core, built to integrate seamlessly into Goodlord's customer journeys.

The partnership combines Goodlord's distribution, data and digital platform with Elevate's underwriting, claims and product design capability. All products are available immediately through the Goodlord platform, underwritten by Elevate Specialty.

"The rental market is changing fast, and insurance needs to keep up," said Mickey Attia, chief executive at Elevate Specialty.

"We've built this proposition with Goodlord to be Renters' Rights Act-ready from day one, focused on early resolution and real customer outcomes, not friction and delay. Partnering with Goodlord means we can deliver that model exactly where it matters, embedded directly into the lettings journey. Together, we're launching not just a product, but a connected suite of protections designed to work as part of the platform, not sit alongside it."

"Our agents and their landlords want protection they can trust, and that reflects how the market actually works today," said Oli Sherlock, managing director of insurance at Goodlord.

"We know the Elevate team, we trust how they deliver, and that matters. By embedding Rent Guarantee, guarantor services and tenant income protection directly into our platform, we're making protection simpler, more relevant and easier to access. This is about delivering real value at every stage of the tenancy."
