The property industry came together in force on Thursday, 11 June, as the latest ‘Rumble with the Agents’ charity boxing event raised an impressive £15,000 for North London Hospice.
Now in its 11th year, the London event welcomed hundreds of property professionals for an evening of white-collar boxing, fundraising and networking, with estate agents, letting agents, landlords, developers and suppliers all coming together to support a worthy local cause.
Hosted by Paul Shamplina, founder of Rumble with the Agents and Landlord Action, the sold-out event featured live boxing bouts, a three-course meal, raffle, auction and fundraising activities throughout the evening. The event was proudly sponsored by mydeposits.
North London Hospice initially confirmed that £11,665 had been raised on the night through the raffle, pledge envelopes and auction. Following additional proceeds from the silent auction platform and a further contribution from the Rumble with the Agents team, the final fundraising total reached £15,000.
Since launching in 2015, Rumble with the Agents has raised more than £200,000 for charitable causes, supporting organisations working across homelessness, mental health, community support and end-of-life care.
"Every year I am blown away by the generosity of the property industry," noted Paul Shamplina. "What started as a way of combining my passion for boxing with raising money for good causes has become a fantastic industry event that continues to make a real difference.
"North London Hospice does incredible work supporting patients and families during some of the most difficult times in their lives. It is a charity that means a great deal to many people locally and we were delighted to support them this year.
"To raise £15,000 is a fantastic achievement and I would like to thank everyone who boxed, attended, sponsored, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and supported the event. It shows that our industry is about much more than business and is always willing to give something back."
“We are so very grateful to Paul & Rita Shamplina for inviting us to be a part of the extraordinary Rumble with the Agents fundraising evening and for the hugely impressive £15,000 that was raised to help our patients by the team and sponsors." said Pippa Baker, Head of Fundraising at North London Hospice.
"Everyone gave so generously, making donations and buying raffle tickets. Every penny raised helps to ensure that those living in North London, with a life-limiting illness, are not alone and that they receive the kindness, dignity and care everyone deserves at the end of life.”
"Support from events such as this is more important than ever. Demand for hospice services continues to grow while the hospice sector faces significant financial pressures. The vital funds raised will make a big difference. It was a fantastic evening, and we are extremely thankful to everyone involved for choosing to support North London Hospice. From all of us, an enormous thank you!"
Founded in 1984, North London Hospice was the UK's first multi-faith hospice and today receives referrals for over 3,500 patients with life-limiting illnesses each year, alongside their families, friends and carers. While its services are provided free of charge, the charity relies heavily on fundraising and community support to continue delivering its vital work.”
The success of the London event comes ahead of the next Rumble with the Agents event, which will take place at Newcastle Civic Centre on 10 December 2026.
