Formerly utilised as a bathroom warehouse, Monolo’s is based in Cheetham Hill, and with the project nearing completion, will open at the beginning of July as an upmarket children’s centre and healthy eatery.

Mistoria Maintenance were contracted to undertake a number of tasks over a three month period, such as joinery, plastering and plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom areas, in addition to building seating for more than 100 diners.  The high specification development includes features such as multi-coloured faux leather American style seating booths with in-built TV screens on which to watch the children at play, a modern play space for older children, an interactive toddler area and free Wi-Fi.

The ambitious project has been overseen by owner Zeeshan Sheikh, who together with his brother, believes a gap in the market exists for a contemporary space in which both children and adults can unwind.

“We are very excited to be opening Monolo’s.  There is nothing quite like it in the Manchester area.” said Zeeshan.

“With nieces, nephews and our own children, we have often struggled to find a venue suitable for everybody.  Monolo’s is a modern, fun and educational establishment for children, but is also suitable for adults who wish to relax, enjoy good food and be able to watch their children playing safely.”

“In terms of bringing our vision to life, securing the best team for the job was imperative and we knew the Mistoria Group would deliver.  I have known project manager, Cassim Kaaba, for a long time and we are delighted with what he has achieved on our behalf.”
