Dear Colleagues,

I am contacting you with a personal plea for your help and I make no apologies for this. On the 1st July 2009 a young man who worked for us died suddenly in the night, without warning or illness. Joe Murray was a true character and looked on with affection by so many who knew him, Joe was just 27 years old. Joe's death has left a young mum, Sarah, and their four boys Bradley (8), Callum (4) and twins Casey and Kyle (2) without a father.

On Friday the 9th October, we are holding a fundraiser to help Sarah and her sons financially. The evening will be at Oceana nightclub in Watford. We have lots of surprises in store for the night itself including live music, an auction and a DJ. Tickets for the event are available through myself at Loans Warehouse, with every penny we raise going directly to Sarah and the four boys.

But here is where you can all help; over the last couple of weeks we have been amazed by people's generosity with both donations and prizes that can be auctioned or raffled on the evening. We believe some of the prizes donated will appeal to a wider audience and we are holding a silent auction open now to all, offering the top five items we have received, bidding is easy, simply click on the item that interests you and place your bid.

Closing date for the bids is 17.30 on Friday 9th October. There's not long left so get bidding!

The silent auction items are:

- 4 Executive Tickets to any Manchester United home league game this season. Kindly donated by Marc Goldberg at Blemain Finance

- A signed and framed Pele Brazil shirt. Kindly donated by David Cowham (formally of Loans.co.uk, owner of The Clarendon)

- A round of golf for 4 at St Andrews; The Home of Golf. Kindly donated by Keith Craig at DM Hall

- 2 weeks in a cottage in the Charente area in the East Coast of France, including swimming pool, for four people: Kindly donated by Mike Gray at 1st Stop Group

- 2 Hospitality Tickets to any Wasps RFC match of your choice: Kindly donated by Steve Hayes (Wasps Owner)

- Exclusive use of 18 seater box for Disney on Ice at the O2 Arena Friday 30th October (half term week). Kindly Donated by Graham Brent, owner Nationwide Hospitality

Click here to make your bids!

I realise that we have all had a difficult and challenging year as a result of the credit crunch, but what has happened to Sarah and her family really does put everything into perspective.

If you would rather just make a donation, cheques can be made payable to the 'Joe Murray Memorial Fund' and sent to Loans Warehouse, 101-105 Smug Oak Business Centre, Lye Lane, Bricket Wood, Herts AL2 3UG or click on the donations box below where you will find the funds' bank details.

I know you are all busy so thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Kind regards
Matt Tristram | Director
